You and your fiancée have probably decided upon a certain date you would like for your wedding. However, some adjustments may be necessary in order to coordinate your wedding and reception. If they are to take place at different locations this is especially true. It's a good idea to confirm your wedding and reception sites before you do anything else.
Check with the people in charge and find out the following:
A. Does the wedding site have any special rules or procedures that you should know of? For instance, you may want to write your own vows but your church may allow all or part of it because of conflicting beliefs.
B. Will their be time constraints on your wedding day? Will there be a wedding before or following yours? How close will it be?
C. Are there areas suitable for photographs?
D. Can you to provide your own musicians, minister or Rabbi, soloist, music Selections?
E. What kind of monetary obligations are there? If they supply the minister is their fee included or do you have to pay them separately? Is there a security deposit?
F. If you are holding your ceremony someplace other than a church, what are your obligations in terms of the clergyman involved?
G. Is an aisle runner available if you wish to use one? Or, is it necessary to furnish your own.
H . Where are the flowers to be placed ? When can the be delivered? Can their flower stands be used?
I. Ask if there is anything you should know about that hasn't been covered.
When you have the answers to your questions WRITE THEM DOWN. If you are utilizing a wedding coordinator make sure she gets a copy of them.
